Über eine besondere Art der Produktpiraterie wurde jetzt von der BBC berichtet.
Obwohl der Iran keine wirtschaftlichen Beziehungen mit Israel unterhält wurden nun im Iran israelische Zitrusfrüchte „Jaffa Sweetie“ verkauft. Nun wurden die Früchte von den Behörden des Landes entdeckt und sorgten für Aufregung. Empörung folgte, Vertriebszentren und Lager der Früchte wurden versiegelt.
Zwischenzeitlich erklärte aber der General Manager von Israel’s Citrus Marketing Board, dass die Früchte gar nicht aus Israel stammen, sondern aus China – dem Land der Produktpiraterie – stammten.
Offensichtlich waren die dortigen Fälscher der Meinung, das der gute Name der israelischen Orangen es wert sei, nachgemacht zu werden.
